Alice Springs
Know who you look like
Like someone on the TV
Think you could use a drink
But what is it gonna be
Where’s my little kiwi friend
Why oh why didn’t you talk the talk
Hey, where’s your little NY
Can we only walk the walk
Take me up to Alice Springs
I got all day to get everywhere
A couple of beers and a phone call brings
A sweet day la la la la to meet you there
I’ll meet you there
I’ll meet you there
Order a round on our barkeep
Leave a little fun for us tonight
Drink you under the table and sleep
You work here for the atmosphere
La la la la la la oh la la la la la la
Take me up to Alice Springs
I got all day to get everywhere
A couple of beers and a phone call brings
A sweet day la la la la to meet you there
I’ll meet you there
I’ll meet you there
Two pots of coffee tomorrow
Flying upside down in thirst
We ride to take the Outback
While they slide into first
Take me up to Alice Springs
I got all day to get everywhere
A couple of beers and a phone call brings
A sweet day la la la la to meet you there
Take me up to Alice Springs
I got all day to get everywhere
A couple of beers and a phone call brings
A sweet day la la la la to meet you there
I’ll meet you there
I’ll meet you there

The Girl Is

The Girl Is
The girl is part countryside
Part city ride
She got a smile on her face
She got nothin’ left to hide
He’s got a real live wire
Reachin’ for smoke and fire
She’s ready to get the money
She got a backup plan
With her cowgirl boots
In the sand
When he picks her up
She wants a real strong man
The girl is part countryside
Part city ride
She got a smile on her face
She got nothin’ left to hide
Got my cowgirl boots
Got my keys and coat
Want what I want ‘cause I want it
Nothin’ left to hide
The girl is
He’s drivin’ an SUV
Down the highway with me
When he picks me up
I’ve got a real strong man
Nothin’ there I can’t understand
Somethin’ lost, somethin’ found
With him I land on solid ground
The girl is part countryside
Part city ride
She got a smile on her face
She got nothin’ left to hide
Got my cowgirl boots
Got my keys and coat
Want what I want ‘cause I want it
Nothin’ left to hide
The girl is
Where is the solid ground
Where is the solid ground
Where is the solid ground
The girl is

Wireless Dreams

Wireless Dreams
(Spoken: Just have fun)
You can sleep
As long as you want, Darlin’ Baby
‘Cause when you wake up, Darlin’ Baby
You’re ready for anything
My Darlin’ Baby is startin’ to smile
You’re ready for anything
You know it’s great to see you roll down
The window as we roll down the hills
Now I understand your wireless dreams
And your need to drive the hills fast
You’re a burstin’ at the seams
California sunshine all day at last
Fresh juice, fresh fruit on the vine
Drivin’ through beautiful Sonoma pleases me
The brick patio behind
Silver maple trees, eatin’ wild prickleberries
Now I understand your wireless dreams
And your need to drive the hills fast
You’re a burstin’ at the seams
California sunshine
California sunshine
California sunshine all day at last

Seaside Town

Seaside Town
I’ll ride my ten speed
I jump up and down
I’ll ride my ten speed
In your seaside town
You’re gonna love my smile
You’re gonna love my kiss so sweet
Ok, beep beep beep beep
Time for a smoothie, let’s eat
With you everything’s so fine
Wish you were mine
With you everything’s so fine
Gimme those colors of blue
Bel Air and sandy boardwalks
Gimme those fluffy white clouds, too
Like when our eyes talk
I love it when you talk softly
I love it when your day includes me
Nothing’s at all lofty
The way it could always be
With you everything’s so fine
Wish you were mine
With you everything’s so fine
I’ll ride my ten speed
I jump up and down
I’ll ride my ten speed
In your seaside town

A Million Times
You’re on my photoblog, you’re there
Have your emails in a folder
Might check back later today, I might not
Maybe when I’m a little bit older
You bought me dinner on Main
I bought you an iTunes card, you see
‘Cause you’re my main squeeze
You went all the way for me
I love you a million times
Million times more
More than her
I love you a million times
Million times more
More than her
When you’re walkin’ to class past me
I see all your friends in study hall
You might think the best of me, you might not
But you’re the one who smiles when I call
You’re on my photoblog, you’re there
Have your emails in a folder
Might check back later today, I might not
Maybe when I’m a little bit older
I love you a million times
Million times more
More than her
I love you a million times
Million times more
More than her
We’re all gonna go campin’
Back to the Northern Lakes we go
If I had to do it all again
I’d certainly go, go, go
I love you a million times
Million times more
More than her
I love you a million times
Million times more
More than her
I love you a million times
Million times more
More than her
I love you a million times
Million times more
More than her

Crazy On The Islands

Crazy On The Islands
Her hair is long and blonde
She stares from her window all alone
All her friends are on the mainland
They call her on the phone
What else can I say
I can’t wait to get back home
If you’re crazy on the islands
Go back to the mainland
If you’re crazy on the islands
You might be the one I love
Waitin’ in line at the ferry
With my newspapers and hot coffee and crème
And I’m starin’ across the waters
Of some long forgotten dream
Only love can answer all things
Only love can answer all things
If you’re crazy on the islands
Go back to the mainland
If you’re crazy on the islands
You might be the one I love
You might be the one I love

Miracle Mile

Miracle Mile
He was workin’ out in the shade
And playin’ a little lacrosse
Bought up all the new comfy trades
And had a real estate toss
She picked up a new amp
And made a fresh start today
The roller nut system on her guitar
Set up well when she played
She’s dressed up in style
He’s drinkin’ bottled water
She loves the new miracle mile
Playin’ for the miracle, the miracle mile
To the left of a diner on Melrose
Is a chronic little hive
She bought all her new clothes
Opened them up and she felt so alive
She loaded up the Ford
And packed a lunch and tea
Never a moment to be bored
She ran away to the beach
She’s dressed up in style
He’s drinkin’ bottled water
She loves the new miracle mile
Playin’ for the miracle, the miracle mile
When you’re off to work and
Oh, Baby, I’m on the West side
I love your sweet voice
And I need your sweet sigh
(Whispered: Sweet voice, sweet sigh)
She’s dressed up in style
He’s drinkin’ bottled water
She loves the new miracle mile
Playin’ for the miracle, the miracle mile
She’s dressed up in style
He’s drinkin’ bottled water
She loves the new miracle mile
Playin’ for the miracle, the miracle mile

You're Mine Tonight

You’re Mine Tonight
You’re mine tonight
Yeah, you’re mine tonight
You’re mine tonight
Yeah, you’re mine tonight
In for a penny and
In for a pound
Workin’ the dark and light
Follows you downtown
High above the strip
The suite is where we belong
Golden era
Is almost gone
You’re mine tonight
Yeah, you’re mine tonight
You’re mine tonight
Yeah, you’re mine tonight
Until the twilight
You’re mine tonight
We work all day long
We smile at sunset lights
When you make it home late
There’s always the night
In for a penny alright
In for a pound
Line of sight
Follows you uptown
You’re mine tonight
Yeah, you’re mine tonight
You’re mine tonight
Yeah, you’re mine tonight
Until the twilight
You’re mine tonight
In love and war
The heart is like a rose
It opens and closes
You’re mine tonight
Yeah, you’re mine tonight
You’re mine tonight
Yeah, you’re mine tonight
Until the twilight
You’re mine tonight

Meet Me At Diedrichs

Meet Me At Diedrichs
It was a surfer’s dream when she came to town
Summertime was just like heaven around here
When they rolled around on the sand
And they ate sandwiches with ice cold beer
La la la la la la la
In the courtyard the guitar players played
As people strolled on by the flower shop
From the window where the tourists stayed
The music drifted sweetly and it didn’t stop
She looked for the one to love
He was a young fella from Paradise Cove
The happy moment came at the coffee shop
She smiled and off they drove
Meet me at Diedrichs she said on the cell
For coffee and somethin’ sweet
We can have dinner later on the half shell
He swept her off her feet
Jessica, Kelly, and Schyler took the longboards
And the boys tagged along early morning
She rode to the top of the wave
Salt water hair and stayed there for the fun
Flirtin’ with ten point
And you know
Settin’ overtop slides is bonafide
Sunset, Waimei, Malibu, and Zuma
It made for a great pipeline ride
She was made to fly
And remade to fly
Meet me at Diedrichs she said on the cell
For coffee and somethin’ sweet
We can have dinner later on the half shell
He swept her off her feet
Meet me at Diedrichs she said on the cell
For coffee and somethin’ sweet
We can have dinner later on the half shell
He swept her off her feet
Meet me at Diedrichs she said on the cell
For coffee and somethin’ sweet
We can have dinner later on the half shell
He swept her off her feet

The Clues

The Clues
Every mornin’ I walk the beach with you
Every day we talk the evening through
There’s a million reasons why
The light comes shining for the few
Who here can unleash the truth
The paths that cross the barriers
And now become overdue
Hey where are you
They are waiting for the places to pass into
Is this all there is
Is this all that matters
Is this all there is
As their eyes see the clues
Where time and space enter flux
In the hall of destiny
You ask why
It’s beyond the sky
Is this all there is
Is this all that matters
Is this all there is
As their eyes see the clues
We can all go so far
From where we all are
Reach for the stars
C’mon take our hands
As your eyes see the clues
